| I have to use port forwarding. Which ports do I need to open? |
The default SIP port is 5060, and the default RTP port is 5004. Refer to your router's user manual for more information about how to open ports, or see the troubleshooting section of this website. |

Port forwarding is the act of opening a port in your router to allow incoming traffic to the IP address used by your LAN DUALphone. |
| How much bandwidth does an Internet call use? |
Internet calls use between 20 and 90 kilobits per second depending on which codec is used. This corresponds to approximately 0.15 to 0.66 megabyte per minute. |
| Which codecs does the VoIP phone support? |
The VoIP phone supports PCMA,PCMU,G729A,G729B og ILBC(20 og 30ms). |
| What is the difference between SIP user name and Authentication name? |
The Authentication name is used for authentication purposes. Your SIP user name is usually the phone number you received from your service provider. Often, the Authentication name is the same as your user ID. Contact your Internet Telephony Service Provider for more information. |
| What is an echo test? |
Most Internet Telephony Service Providers offer a service that lets you test the voice quality on outgoing and incoming Internet calls. |
